Inspiration can manifest from pretty much anywhere you look. But for me, I always go back to my Indian roots to get inspired by the most incredible jewelry on earth. Jewelry in India doesn’t just hold traditional value but aesthetic as well. It’s always been an evolving art form with intricate designs and bright colors.
When it comes to my pieces, I love taking the heart of India and fusing it with contemporary styles for the modern day, jet-setting woman.
Voluminous Gold Pieces
Traditional jewelry of India heavily consists of gold since it flatters our rich olive complexion. My modern day pieces such as the KARINA earrings bring an effortless chic aesthetic, perfect for day to day wear. While these aren’t as dramatic as traditional Indian earrings, the agate bead gives a modern day feel to the earrings.
Precious Stones
Indian women always adorn multi-color stones such as emeralds, pearls, diamonds, rubies and sapphires. The KARINA Necklace is one piece that incorporates multi faceted agate beads and a large agate pendant that creates a sophistication that’s versatile and makes a statement.
Ornamental Pieces
Indian culture is all about large, ornament style pieces. We love to make a statement! Most of my necklaces are always a focal point, such as the Amreen Necklace. The agate stone arrow is adorned with a filigree design that surrounds the bezel. The mocha colored druzy beads along with a pave bead give a traditional yet modern touch to any outfit!
While these are some of my personal favorite pieces inspired by my Indian roots, these pieces can be worn day into night for a number of occasions.
